Such a fun group!!
Hate we missed it! Looks like a hopin time!
As we celebrate 40 years of Artsbridge, weβre reminded that art doesnβt just live in the present. It carries stories from the past that deserve to be rediscovered! π§΅πͺ‘
One of those stories is a very special quilt titled βNightbridge.β Created and quilted in 1996 by Wen Ross, with the assistance of Virginia Killian, this piece is more than fabric and thread. It reflects the creativity and collaboration that has always been at the heart of Artsbridge.
For years, this quilt was lost to time.
During our recent move to our new location, we rediscovered it along with the history that brings it back to life.
An original article from 1996 was found alongside the quilt, highlighting the vibrant arts community that surrounded its creation. It mentions local artists like Jim Kinnett, Mark Whitley, and Steve Nicely, who helped shape the creative spirit of that time.
Now, βNightbridgeβ is proudly on display at Artsbridge once again. It is a beautiful reminder of where weβve been, the artists who came before us, and the lasting impact of the arts in our community.
As we celebrate 40 years, we honor not just the milestones, but the stories, the people, and the art that continue to connect us all.
Stop by and see this special piece of Artsbridge history in person!! π©΅ ... See MoreSee Less

What an incredible day at last weekβs Very Spectacular Arts Festival!! ππ π‘ποΈ
We are still feeling so grateful for the joy, creativity, and connection that filled the space as more than 275 students with developmental differences came together to celebrate the arts.
This event would not have been possible without the support of so many amazing people and organizations. A heartfelt thank you to WVU Parkersburg for hosting and providing such a welcoming space for this special day.
We are also so thankful for the volunteers, artists, local nonprofits, and Board members who showed up to serve, encourage, and create meaningful experiences for every participant.
Because of you, this event continues to be a place where every individual is seen, valued, and celebrated for their unique abilities!! ππ
